ทีแรกเคยคิดว่านิยายของ Murakami ไม่น่าจะเอามาทำเป็นหนังได้ แต่เรื่องนี้ดูแล้วรู้สึกได้ถึงความเปล่าเปลี่ยวที่หนักอึ้ง แทบไม่ต่างจากตอนอ่านหนังสือเลย (อาจจะเป็นเพราะดนตรีประกอบของ Ryuichi Sakamoto ด้วยก็ได้)
